5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies.

Some cookies are necessary for the website, booking system, security and cookie-preference controls to operate. These cookies may be used without consent where permitted by law.

Other cookies, including certain analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, will only be used after you have made a choice through our cookie banner.

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies and change your preferences through the cookie settings available on the website.

Further details, including the types and duration of cookies, are provided in our separate Cookie Policy.

We do not sell or rent personal information to advertisers.

  • Tax, tourism or regulatory authorities.

Service providers are given only the information reasonably necessary to perform their role.

Where an independent service provider delivers an optional service directly to you, that provider may also act as a separate data controller and should provide its own privacy information where applicable.

7. International Transfers

Some of our technology, booking, payment or communication providers may store or process information outside France or the European Economic Area.

Where personal information is transferred to a country that does not provide an equivalent level of data protection, we expect the relevant provider to use legally recognised safeguards. These may include:

  • A European Commission adequacy decision;
  • Standard contractual clauses; or
  • Another transfer mechanism permitted under data-protection law.

Further information about a particular provider’s safeguards may be requested by contacting us.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We do not keep personal information for longer than reasonably necessary.

The period depends on why the information was collected and whether we are required to retain it by law.

Our usual retention periods are:

Enquiries that do not result in a booking

Enquiry information may be retained for up to three years from our last meaningful contact with you.

Reservation and contract information

Reservation contracts, important booking correspondence and information needed to manage the customer relationship may normally be retained for up to five years after the end of the stay.

Accounting and payment records

Invoices and accounting documents may be retained for ten years in accordance with French accounting obligations.

We do not normally retain complete payment-card information. Payment providers retain payment information according to their own legal and security requirements.

Newsletter information

Newsletter subscription information may be retained until you unsubscribe or for up to three years after your last active contact or interaction with us.

We may contact you at the end of this period to ask whether you would like to remain subscribed. If you do not respond or renew your consent, your information may be removed from the active marketing list.

Complaints and disputes

Information connected with a complaint, payment dispute, insurance claim or legal matter may be retained until the matter is resolved and for any further period required by applicable limitation or legal-retention rules.

Security-camera footage

Security-camera recordings will normally be retained for no longer than 30 days and may be deleted sooner.

Where footage is required to investigate an incident or for legal proceedings, the relevant footage may be extracted and retained for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with that incident or proceeding.

Cookies

Cookies are retained for the periods described in our Cookie Policy and cookie-preference tool.

9. How We Protect Information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against:

  • Unauthorised access;
  • Accidental loss;

  • Disclosure; and
  • Destruction.

These measures may include:

  • Password-protected accounts;
  • Restricted access to booking information;
  • Secure payment providers;
  • Software updates;
  • Access controls;
  • Secure backups; and
  • Appropriate confidentiality arrangements with service providers.

No website or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a personal-data breach creates a risk to affected individuals, we will take the steps required under applicable data-protection law.

10. Your Data-Protection Rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • Ask whether we process your personal information;
  • Request access to the information we hold about you;

  • Object to direct marketing at any time;
  • Request the transfer of certain information in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and
  • Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

Withdrawing consent does not make any earlier processing carried out before the withdrawal unlawful.

Some rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. For example, we may need to retain invoices or transaction records even after receiving a deletion request.

12. Complaints to the CNIL

You also have the right to submit a complaint to the French data-protection authority:

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:

  • Changes to our services;
  • Changes to the providers we use;
  • Changes to our website; or
